I rented an apartment when this company owned 500 Upsal. At the time to move it it was a discount on the first months rent, last month and security to move in. Please make sure your lease states this before paying! When a new property management company took over this company lied and said I only paid security then lied and said I paid first month and security per my lease. Legally after you renew your lease after the first year a landlord has to give you your last months rent back! They got over on me big time!

I spoke with an Esther with this company in regards to my water bill being $52 which that is ok. The problem comes in where they tacked on an entire $72 late fee to a bill less than what's owed. Esther was rude condensend8ng, and her response was I'll waive the fee if u pay today. I said I can pay it Wednesday, she proceeds to say well that's the fee and pretty much she can't remove it. The fact she remained unconcerned and just ignorant about this matter has floored me. Im filing a formal complaint cause I don't thing this is legal to add a whole $72 for a $52 bill. ABSOLUTE the worst place to live , when they got bought out 2 years ago by Chealsea Management you were no longer a resident you are scum on the bottom of their shoes and all they want and care about is your money. Moved in Aug 1st 2021 rent was $1225 then it increased to $1255 normal then it went to $1425 to $1700 so 3%, 14% to 19% they just make up numbers or should I say they go off market value which should be used for someone new moving in not a current tenant and then the best is they are redoing them so you could move in today paying what someone who has lived there is paying but you have this beautiful apartment and maybe at the price is worth it but someone who lives there has a old apartment.
