Chatham City Apartments Office

First off. The requirements to get into this place are RIDICULOUS. for such a shitty property you pretty much have to cut off a leg and be an absolutely perfect person to get in here. You can’t have ANYTHING on your background. NOTHING. No pets, the office staff is rude. They never answer you back. They don’t accept first time renters at all. You can’t move there from your parents. They won’t let you rent if you were previously homeless, no matter how hard you worked to get there. If you don’t have a current lease or 5 years of verifiable renters history they won’t accept you. I get they are trying to keep the trash out but it seems that they want to keep EVERYONE out. Even if you make well over 3x the rent. They don’t care.

Lady in she is rude talk nasty to you!! You try to get maintenance they take forever!! apartment is not up to date like you living in their about about 100 years ago !! If you looking for a apartment get a up-to-date apartment!! In side look really old !! Have a better place the bathtub always be stocked up and the sink always be stopped up peace

Tried to get an application and was refused...iv recently moved from ohio and don't have a current lease. It's insane to need a current lease to even apply smh. After reading the reviews maybe I dodged a bullet. Also should look into decent office help....she.is obnoxious.

Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Went and applied last week in person. Was there for about 30 min on my lunch break confirming my lease with my current landlord. My landlord sent my ledger and it was viewable for the property manager to interpret then. I was given a pre application and told I would wait 48 hours for a response via email. When I called this morning to get an update, I was sent to the after hours phone number. I called again and apparently the phone had been taken off the hook. Being that I saw I would not get a response, I decided to go up there on my lunch break. When faced, I was told my application was denied because they do not allow pets and I had late charges from my previous apartment. I wish I didn't have to give a star. I got judged and denied even looking at my previous rental history because I'm currently homeless trying to find a place for myself and kids to live. I haven't been able to find a place before now because of the cost of living and needing to wait till I had the spare money such as tax money to be able to afford deposit and first months rent at any place I apply. They didn't even run a background check nor care at the fact about apt pricing around the area and me being a single mother. They cast judgement before they even knew me and sent me an email declining me instantly. No wonder I hear such bad things about this place and regret I even step foot in the office wasting my time losing hours at work and breath. I will not ever recommend anyone there to
