This is one of the oldest apartments in town. I am living here for an year, so I can give you all the pros and cons. Pros —- The place is very near to the campus . You can easily walk to the campus regularly ( no need to buy the expensive parking decal and worry about the parking). Even if your hall is somewhere towards the other end of the campus, you can catch a bus and commute. The apartments are two Bedrooms and two bathrooms ( attached). Both the bedrooms and the bathrooms are of equal sized and spacious enough. There are two closets ( one walk in) in each room. The rooms have window enough for light to come in. The living room area is attached with the kitchen. The kitchen and the dinning area is big enough. There is a back porch and big door. So if you want, you can open this while
After my roommate and I first signed our lease, I was honestly terrified of living here. All the reviews were saying how awful management was and that nothing ever got fixed. Thankfully, I was super pleasantly surprised when we moved in. Beth, the new manager is always super friendly and helpful, even letting us move in early. John, who does maintenance, is always super friendly and available to help as soon as he can. When we first moved in, he spent 3 hours over here helping us put up curtain rods and fixing things we didn't even know were broken. Price is great, it's got washer/dryer, microwave, kitchen appliances all furnished, pet friendly, and basically on campus. I'll definitely be renewing my lease. The cons are that the buildings are old, so occasionally stuff breaks/leaks/etc,
I have lived in Chadwick Place for 3 years. Overall, my experience was great. Property manager and Management is good. They care for residents and any concerns or problems are solved immediately. This is a very old apartment so the unit I lived wasn't upgraded but It was super clean when I moved in, however, they are renovating apartments now. the It is best for both students who want to live with roommates or even families since I had both experience here. Also, MSU shuttle stops right in-front of apartment, so it very helpful for those who don't have their own vehicle. The only problem I had was with a horrible neighbor who would put extremely loud music in the middle of night. We complained couple of times but management didn't take any strict action like sending notice even on reque
I've lived here for 1 month, and will update every 6 months or so. So far, I love this place. The rent is low, but the apartment is beautiful. All of the appliances are up to date. Plenty of room. Yeah, I can hear my neighbors upstairs sometimes - But that's normal for any apartment. So far, I'd recommend Chadwick to anyone looking for an apartment close to campus. I just put a work order in for our dishwasher, I have a feeling it will be fixed in a few days based off of other reviews.
Warning: the owners of buildings P and Q are different from the owners of the rest of this complex. The owners of P and Q, Lily and Gary, will blow you off if you ever have issues, will tell you things have been fixed when they obviously haven't, and will give you a notice of less than one weekend to move out. Absolute worst landlords I've ever dealt with, avoid buildings P and Q. The tenants across from us also had to move out in the span of a week, so this is a consistent issue with these landlords. I can only hope we were better tenants than they were landlords, because the stress they put us through by ignoring our 80+ degree apartment for months, then trying to dump us on the street over a weekend for complaining about it, was something no one should have to go through.
