Certified Home Inspections of Valparaiso

Well I have this dude a 5 star review. I take everything I said back. After moving into the home after I bought it, all the water lines leak, the sewage lines are backed up, and he said he got under the house and checked everything( that’s a lie cause I’ve had every leak possible. Heck you turn the outside garden hose on and it floods the underneath of the house along with the sewer flooding underneath of the house. I would never use this guy again and beware if you use him. I wouldn’t trust him as far as you could throw him. Now you can see what I’m dealing with right after I move in and he did he job!!! Yeah right

A++ experience. I worked with Jim, and he is very professional, thorough, efficient, and easy to schedule and communicate with. Excellent value for the level of service and attention you receive. I would recommend him to anyone.

I wouldn’t even give this guy one star. He’s garbage. Said he crawled under my house and ran all the water to check the drains and checked everything else. Everything he said he checked has been messing up since day 1! All the drains have backed up since I moved in, the roof leaks, the underneath of my house flooded. I highly recommend going elsewhere. The. Try and talk to him and he sends me a email saying not to call back!!!! I’ve literally been here two months and it’s been happening since the day I moved in. Sewage everywhere

Was friendly at the inspection, but not thorough in the inspection report. We had to go back and forth many times and have our character attacked before getting the inspection completed as it should have been initially. Ultimately it was corrected, but I will be using a different inspector the next time I need one.

Jim did inspected a home we made an offer on. He found everything. Looks like they tried to mitigate the asbestos, but not thoroughly. He found more and it was likely "hiding" in other places. Even a small amount is a big deal, and we are thankful for his time. Because of that and some other big things, we did not go through with the purchase and we were able to get back our earnest money. He inspected a 2nd house for us, and though nothing major was found, it was nice to know of a few "minor" things so we could take care of them before they became "major" things.
