I've never had this experience with an apartment before. Amy called us and said they lost our applications and wanted us to reapply. She said they would refund us for the second set of applications. They never did and they continue to ghost us no matter how much we call or email. They've stolen $270 from us in application fees alone. We've called them back for months about our move in, and their only response is "we are a small company, we don't have enough people to keep up with applications." Well that doesn't mean you can steal money. Don't expect to ever hear back from them after you place your applications or deposit, you will never hear from them again. Charlie and Amy clearly don't care about this place. EDIT: We FINALLY got a call back from them today 9/30/25 and the first thing t
People are smoking on balconies which blows right into my bedroom anytime I open my windows. Also, the people who smoke on the balconies talk loudly until 1 in the morning every single day. And smoke around their kids too. What a bunch of horrible people.
Have lived here for 10 years with my family without much trouble BUT the management doesn’t know how to turn off the heaters during the summer. As I’m currently writing this the heaters are turned on with 90 degree weather. Past years have even had us suffer until the end of summer with constant air conditioning turned on. Makes me wonder if they want electric bills to go up. The only justification for this has been to provide comfort for elderly residents, but I can’t see this being comfortable for anyone. Other than that issue everything else is fine around here. Buildings are quickly taken care of in the winter for snow removal and it is a comfortable place to live in when it’s not summer.
HONEST review. The good, the bad and ugly. UGLY: Do NOT trust staff. Take pics and get things in writing to protect yourself. Document! Read your tricky lease and ask for a printed copy. Staff also not knowledgeable and main office for Sella Group doesn't respond to multiple calls. When I finally got a response to an on going issue,it was because they thought I had put out a bad review and it wasn't even me. Lol.*smh BAD: Ventilation system horrible. You will smell neighbors cigarette smoke and other odors. Lots of water breaks in apartment. I had three water damage stains on my ceiling. Two leaks happened within 6 months. GOOD: Not alot of theft. Other residents didn't take packages. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I'd see Bob out picking up around the building....often. Mai
The building manager is great. The property is okay. However, be prepared to have packages lost/stolen, be lied to, and have them "lose" things in the mail. My carpets were concealed by boxes when I did my walkthrough. Upon moving in, they were in embarrassing shape with stains everywhere. Was told they'd be replaced. They then refused to do so. So I lived for two years with carpets I was embarrassed to show people, even after repeated attempts to get them to honor their word. They lost my notice to vacate in the mail. Never contacted me that they hadn't received a response from me about my lease. This put me on a month to month lease, upped my rent by $125, and caused me to lose a $500 deposit I had put in on a new place. I will never live at another Sela property.
