Casa De Vida Apartments

WARNING: DO NOT LIVE HERE. Terrible management, and mold infested units. Living at this property for the past 11 months has such a nightmare. From early on, management failed to be honest about how disruptive and long-term the construction would be, making it nearly impossible to work from home and costing me income and peace of mind. Our balcony was destroyed about a month into our lease, yet we were still charged full rent for something we could no longer use—and it’s still not properly restored. Over time, our apartment developed serious mold problems. We found visible mold in bedrooms, closets, on our personal belongings, and even inside an air purifier. Many of our possessions were ruined, and I had to throw away thousands of dollars’ worth of personal items. It’s been heartbreakin

Unfortunately the recent construction work has made Casa De Vida a lot less enjoyable as a place to live. The building seems to be in bad condition. Work on my unit (originally projected to be 6-8 weeks) has been going on for 3 months and counting. I've been unable to use the balcony and I'm constantly cleaning up plaster chunks, dust and termite debris. Mine is one of the first units to be worked on so I have no clue how bad the others will turn out to be. The construction work is incredibly loud and impossible to work through (shaking walls, plaster chunks popping out, a literal hole in my wall at one point) so if you wfh or spend any time at home during the week (or some federal holidays as I discovered on Martin Luther King Jr Day) then think twice before renting here - at least find

As part of the ongoing building construction work, I had to relocate to a different apartment as repairs had to be made to my apartment. Thankfully, Tina helped make the whole experience smooth and pleasant. She worked with me to find an alternate apartment that was to my liking and also facilitated a speedy and timely move, making sure the alternate apartment was in perfect working order. Finally, she also made sure that the repair work to my apartment was completed and there were no issues before my move back. She kept me informed throughout the entire process. I've lived in this apartment complex for a few years, and I originally chose it because it had virtually no pest or bug issues in the reviews. Even after all this time, I’ve never seen any roaches or large pests inside my place. The complex is currently undergoing construction. In the past, my closet was affected due to a construction-related incident and had to be decontaminated because of asbestos. However, the management team, Tina and Joanna, took my concerns seriously. The apartment management company covered the costs of damaged items, moving expenses, and temporary housing during that time. I’m not usually the type of person to leave reviews but this apartment + the move in process was so smooth that I have to give props to management. This property is beautiful and the apartments are very clean. 10/10 reccomend!! Special shoutout to our Tina shes a great leasing office manager and she made the process very smooth and easy.
