Capital Title of Texas – Victoria Crossroads

DO NOT USE and here is why..... Initial title papers that came to us after the initial offer was accepted referred to my husband as “Wife” and not spouse. I made a note on the paperwork that this was 2020 and they needed to update their paperwork and that if this was not corrected by closing their would be an issue...it was corrected. Four days prior to closing I asked my real estate agent if a time had been scheduled for closing (I was worried since the title company we were using for closing on the Austin house we were buying had been in constant contact and had scheduled closing two weeks out.) and I was informed that Capital aka Crossroads had YET to clear the title even though the contract deadline had passed. This company not only held up the closing of our home, BUT released the title knowing it had a lien on it. Now due to this incompetence we are responsible for the lien in the grand amount of $4,550. I've tried several times to communicate with them via email (which remain unanswered), and the address listed is CLOSED!

Terrible experience! Handled my closing pooly, next to no communication, ran into and issue they called "unfixable" when a solution was found they had scare off my buyer and ruined my closing!

Wish I could give zero stars. The most unprofessional group of people I’ve dealt with in Texas.
