Calloway at Las Colinas

Serious health concerns. I rent a 2 bed 1 bath. I have black mold in my bedroom closet and bedroom window. My bathroom ceiling leaks when the upstairs neighbor showers. Maintenance requests take months before someone comes out. When they do come out, they look at the issue and say they’ll come back and never do. They mark work orders “complete” even when they are not addressed. They allow tenants to run an automotive repair business out of the property as well. Non residents drop off their cars and are worked on all hours of the day. The staff has stated they also fear they have undocumented people living in the community but are too scared to do anything about it. This is the worst apartment I have lived in my life. My apartment heater is not fixed for 9 days leaving my family and I without heating system in this hash cold weather. The cabinet was left opened after temp fixing. The disconnect door left untouched as I do this rating see the pictures attached. I am considering my options in continuing living this apartment.

The apartment I moved in was not what they offered me. Moved in Friday 7/25. Ceiling in hallway leaking Ceiling in bathroom over sink leaking Maintenance request was put in Friday 7/25. Maintenance did not show up until Saturday 7/26. 7/26. after I had to go by the office & request. Maintenance patched pipes. Leaking stopped. 2 hours later leaking started again. Bathroom ceiling still has slow leak. Maintenance request put in. 7/27. Sunday. No one showed up after request was put in as emergency. 7/28. Monday Maintenance came over patched. Leaking stopped. A few hours later it was back leaking. New request was put in at office. Bathroom ceiling still has slow leak. 7/29. my experience with calloway at las colinas so far has been amazing. Staff members Brianna has been such a huge help and i can’t even begin to express my gratitude. she made my experience very easy and smooth helping in every way she could. i appreciate the staff here as they are very attentive and helpful.

Updating my original one-star review because the leak in my unit is still not resolved. The leak has been happening since I moved in in December. This weekend the ceiling tile collapse TWICE in under 24 hours, and it is now leaking again, though maintenance claimed to have just fixed it earlier today. When I called the office, I was simply told to submit another request through the portal, even with an active leak. Extremely disappointed in the ongoing issue and lack of urgency from management. If you want a safe living environment where you don't have to be concerned about slipping on a puddle of water or a ceiling tile falling on your head as you enter your home, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!
