Pretty terrible experience. Charge random fees, don’t check the properties before other people sign the lease. Don’t listen to the residents when there’s an issue or even a safety issue for example mold in bathrooms or AC UNITS. I was going to move in and then saw the mold and never signed a lease. Horrible customer service and never renting from them ever again. Not worth the cheap rent when ur health is not a priority. Carpets are not cleaned ever, renovations are not done, appliances are years old and bad.

TERRIBLE. This is the most predatory rental company I’ve ever encountered. Save yourself the time and money and do not rent from them. Almost anyone else would be better. You can be a great tenant, take good care of the property, turn it back in clean and in good condition…they’ll still find a way to keep every cent of your deposit and then CHARGE YOU above and beyond that. I cannot urge you enough not to rent from these people.

I’ve always had a good relationship with Brownstone, that is until we moved out. We cleaned the townhouse for days, replaced bulbs, and painted/patched any issues. A long exhaustive list that seemed crazy was given to us by Brownstone before we left. I wanted to do the right thing and leave on good terms so I did everything asked and more. Then after we move we get some cooked up bill that eats our entire security deposit while demanding addition money. 400 dollars to clean a house already deep cleaned. This seems incredibly unfair. You guys can call is slanderous but when you play stupid games expect stupid prizes.

—— edit to reply —- Went out and done a job for these people ( emergency) someone had thrown bricks down the drain and clogged up units . We came out and had to dig 6’ in the ground with 3 men for about 5 hours to cut the line and remove the bricks . We then used our pull behind hydro jetter to flush line out and used our inspection camera to verify line was clear . Fast forward we send them a bill of around $1800 which is plenty fair . They him and hawed and every turn around saying they didn’t like the bill . Then they proceeded to tell us that the problem wasent fixed ( which we know was due to inspection with camera ) If you are a contractor I would avoid working for these people . You are the property maintenance company we dealt with you at just about every step of the way.its ok

I have been a tenant with Brownstone for almost 8 years. I have been very pleased. The rent is very affordable and the property is kept up very respectively for what the price of the rent is! They are timely with coming out when there is an issue as well!
