I have been under the property management of Jeannie Kirkland with Bob Woodbridge Realty for four years. When I first moved in, the water bill was managed under the existing owner, and I paid it via auto draft. When a new owner purchased the property I rent, I received only a brief text stating, “FYI—ownership has changed hands,” with no instructions regarding any changes to my existing water payment arrangement. As a result, the account went inactive, and my water was disconnected. Had I been informed that I needed to transfer the water service into my name under the new owner, I would have done so immediately. When I brought this issue to Jeannie’s attention and expressed my belief that I should not be responsible for the reconnection fee due to this communication failure, she responded
