Customer Reviews
I moved in from the east coast after a virtual tour so did not notice the crazy number of issues associated with this apartment. Simply put, it was overpriced and has unacceptable living conditions. There has been no on site management since March (previous manager left and moved out), no AC for my unit, non-functioning heater that makes loud noises if turned on and blows out hot air in the summer when turned off. Kitchen water is yellow in the morning and undrinkable. The doors and wall has been painted too many times that small articles of paint falls to the floor and sticks to everything. Most importantly, there is a severe safety hazard for some units (including mine) as they have large windows by the hallway. So if you ever leave your windows open, anyone can just break the screen and
I have lived in many apartments all over Los Angeles, usually jumping from one place to another each year. Barrington Avenue has been one of the best rental experiences so far. My partner and I lived here for a little over a year but I would have happily stayed longer. I'll start with the cons, because there aren't many! * The walls are a little thin, so you may be able to hear people in the hallways or next door. You'll be hard pressed to find an apartment in LA that doesn't have some noise leakage though, that's just part of city living. Overall, the noise very rarely bothered us EXCEPT..... We lived next to 3 young women and had issues after asking them to keep their noise level down late at night a couple times. I'm talking like 2AM on a weekday. Unfortunately they didn't take kindl
The apartments on the side facing the windows can be quite spectacular if not during the warm season (there is no AC and for some, like me, not even a place to put in a window AC and the kind that stand up with a hose going out the window barely cools the place -when warm/hot out- and I mean barely.) The layout is nice but another thing to know is that on the side facing Barrington the car noise goes until about midnight and starts around 5:30 am so if you do open your window, expect it to be loud. I personally loved the pool area and my neighbors. If you needed something fixed , they were good about responding in a timely fashion. The downside --besides no central AC and some units not even a window AC and the car noise... Well in an effort to try and understand that it is difficult to be
This was a strange experience. I loved living in the building and loved the pool! I did want to renegotiate my rent bc of covid and asked to move to a studio. When I sent them my bank statement THEY decided that I had enough money in savings to stay put. Then they changed their story that they needed a statement of employment income even though I was starting my own business. They also didn't request this when I moved in. Then they said I was welcome to break my lease. Which I did but when I filled out the application for a new place they told them I had noise complaints....6 months ago. They never told me about this and if I had known, would have been happy to turn music down just that one night but that also made my new place question me and had me pay 6 months upfront. Frank was very he
Beautiful apartments, family style pool (no deep side mostly shallow), very hard to move in. I’d recommend getting movers, no clear path in with furniture and a very small elevator. Maintained property though
