Our three-year stint with Baldwin Homes building our custom Bill house started promising but crashed hard. The foundation review revealed our house rotated, shrinking our one-acre lot's backyard drastically. No promised walk-throughs after subcontractors or insulation—everything inspected post-drywall. Light switches awkwardly placed far back, needing full room entry to find them. Windows swapped to unknown off-brand from expected Pella; stickers removed to hide the change—we'd have paid extra if asked. Subflooring poorly secured; one-year repairs fixed most, but squeaks persist half the house. Worst: CO2 detectors blared at two-thirty AM after one month; fire department said five more minutes could've killed us. Contractor blamed frozen gauge—impossible, per experts; likely install error.

Purchased a home in Hanover area. They need better contractors and service providers. Within first year appliance issues, electrical issues. HVAC system just popped up even though under warranty Trane said the installers did a shoddy job. Home itself has no problems.

Purchased the James model and moved into the Ellendale Community in Stevensville, MD, in May 2017. So far we have been very pleased with the quality and construction of our home. My husband works in construction and has a degree in Building Science, and is quite picky and he has been relatively satisfied so far. They quickly repaired two light fixtures that did not work, even after settlement. I thought it would take them a long time to repair the lights, but they were repaired within several days. So far, pleased with our home.

Pleased with our home and have been in it for 3 years. We had a smooth construction process without any hiccups fortunately, which isn't always a guarantee with any home. We were pretty type A so not sure if that helped. Any problems we encountered afterwards were minor or quickly addressed. There was only one subcontractor we weren't thrilled with and that sub is no longer used. Contact post construction is not the easiest.

Purchased a new home from their development in Severn Maryland .The home developed mold within the first year and the builders has refused to address the issue saying " Did the home have mold when we gave it too you"? My wife and I were very disappointed that this company didn't just ignore the issue but have ignored us ever since with the one year coming up soon. This is a large expense no one should have to incur with a home costing over $500k. I think it is worth noting other homes in our commuity have found mold as well. I would love to say they build a great home but a company that will not stand behind their product is a poor company. The community is boyers ridge.
