Lived there for a year, the elevator was in repair for 5 months. Then would break every 3 weeks. About a month before moving out the garbage shoot broke and did not get fixed before I moved. No timetable for its repair was given. You have to park across the street from where you live and pay $100 a month to do so. The parking lot is uncovered and the plow pushes the snow up to your car. You have to dig yourself out. Many tenants just drove over the snow creating icy unsafe pathways to your car. Courtyard noise is loud from garbage trucks, and dogs.

I’ve lived in Baker for 5 years and what was once a beautiful historic chocolate factory turned to barely livable housing. The leasing office truly does not care about their grounds or their tenants. They raise the rent every year to only give less and do less. When I first moved in, the grounds were beautiful, they had people cleaning the outside windows, doing landscaping, washers and dryers actually worked and that was rent was $2,400. Melissa who use to run the leasing office was so polished up and expected the same for Baker. Now, these are photos outside my door (attached). Please don’t let the website that most likely hasn’t been updated in a few years fool you. The standard dropped when they switched over to Chartwell quite honestly, they need to just sell it and allow someone el

Victoria is an astonishing property manager. I have never felt like I was in better hands until now. I don’t believe anyone can do it like her. She’s so helpful, so quick, very kind, and she knows how to get things done precisely in a time sensitive manner. I’m so happy to call her my property manager. The old managers were terrible. I had to wait forever to get one simple thing done. I appreciate all of your hard work Victoria and I pray you will always be the property manager of the Baker Chocolate Factory! Awesome customer service 10/10!!! :)

If you like peace and quite then this place definitely ISN’T for you. The walls and ceilings are super thin and you can literally hear everything your neighbors are doing all around you. We’ve lived here going on three years now and the first two years we really liked living here. Our neighbors above were super friendly and very considerate but now we have new neighbors and it sounds like Big Foot is living directly above us. We’ve lived in numerous apartment buildings and the noise we encounter here is insane. We constantly hear stomping, banging and furniture sliding across the floor at random hours of the day and night. We’ve had pictures fallen off of a certain wall multiple times because of the vibration from all the stomping, eventually we just stopped hanging them back up. Early eve

My wife and I signed on for another year because we love this place! You can't find a more beautiful spot in all of Boston. Walking score is great, T station within walking distance is huge. You'll have an extra transfer with the trolley, but totally worth it to be in such a quaint spot. Milton is across the river with amazing houses and restaurants (not to mention the people). A big seller is that this location is dog friendly. We have a Dalmatian mix that is now friends with all the people and dogs in the building. People living here are extraordinarily nice and respectful, we've never had a problem with noise or complaints. Within the year that we've been there they've upgraded the paint, light fixtures, carpet, and are currently remodeling the gym. They really care and are on top of
