Avra West Loop

We lived in this building for about 1.5 years and everything was fine (aside from some annoyances with the maintenance team) up until our window spontaneously broke while we were not in the building. Eventually it was found that the windows contained an impurity which caused the breakage but the building manager and property manager were not understanding or respectful in the process. There was a lot of distrust and if we hadn't pushed for a proper assessment of the broken glass, the true cause would not have been found. There was very poor communication from the management team regarding our case and it was clear that there was no credible window repair companies that were called for an assessment. I moved out this week after staying at Avra for 1 year. What an incredible building and wonderful place to call home! 20th floor amenities are amazing and the space is so well utilized. Ray and Doug are always very helpful and friendly. Gerardo & Pablo with maintenance are so responsive. And also huge shout out to Tomas and everyone else who works so hard to keep the place clean! I attached a picture of the painting I made in the makers space area :p. Hopefully someone else can do a better job! Overall loved my time here! P.S. If there are any Rush, UIC, CCH med students, residents or fellows looking for a place, Avra is where you should be!!! My walk to hospital was 20 mins max and very convenient!

Lived in the building for the last year - loved the place (both my apartment and the amenities). Apartments are very elegant and brand new, the amenities are excellent - I regularly used the gas grills on the rooftop and the common areas and never had an issue. The entire staff is incredibly friendly. Ray and Doug are amazing concierges, always happy to help with anything I needed. The maintenance folks, Pablo and Gerardo, are also very efficient and friendly. The Director of Management, Mariel, is incredibly nice and goes out of her way to help out her tenants. Highly recommend the place. Sad that I have to go, will make sure to come back to Avra or another Tandem property when I'm back in the city. PS: Rooftop has insane sunset views!

Was a resident for almost 3 years. Roosevelt was professional and helpful during my stay. However, issues with upper management and unfair treatment made my overall experience disappointing.

Beautiful building with great finishing and thoughtful designs. I had a wonderful tour today, thanks to Libby P. She is highly knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, providing all the information I needed ahead of time. She listened closely to my specific needs and preferences, and followed up promptly. Her professionalism was exceptional — a level rarely seen after touring more than 30 apartments this past week. I know I’m in good hands with Libby. It was truly a pleasure working with Libby, and I hope to work with her again in any future home searches.
