Avondale Apartments

Do not waste yout time inquiring about an apartment with Avondale. The property manager Tony is extremely rude and racist, and the property owners Pacific Capital Management refuse to address the issue. Every day brought a new problem with him, and it felt like he was constantly looking for reasons to evict us even with rent paid every month. And privacy is nonexistent here, as the property manager will invade every aspect of it with surprise inspections, going through everything in your apartment. He’ll open closets, drawers, and even your dresser, looking for drugs—despite the fact that there were none in my apartment. I have lived at the Avondale Apartments for over 5 years and I have been very happy. The manager is great and ensures our community is safe, fun, family-oriented, and clean.

UPDATE: My wife and I just read an email from Tony who said he never saw us yesterday and then left for lunch at 2pm. My wife and I knocked on the leasing office door first at 1:45pm to see if they'd take us early but the door was locked. We knocked again on the leasing office door much louder at 2:05pm with still no answer. We waited until 2:20pm and saw no one leave the only entrance to the leasing office building the entire time. So either there's another hidden leasing office somewhere else in the community or Tony is a liar trying to cover their tracks; because why would you leave for lunch at 2pm knowing you had a tour scheduled exactly at 2pm? The new landlord (as of April 2015) was absolutely awful. We treated the property well and left less than what could be considered 'normal' wear and tear. They held money to clean the shower which we left spotless, they held money to clean the carpets which we steam cleaned right before we left, and they withheld money to fix a burn on the counter that was there when we moved in. It definitely felt like they were just trying to scam us and take our money. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Really nice, clean facility with property managers that really care! Lovely neighborhood with mature well kept landscaping and homes. Convenient location to I-5. A hidden jewel in the South Sacramento area!
