Avalon Park Apartments

If I could ZERO star this place I would! There was a negative review on here about Shawna evicting people just because and guess what?! She deleted it! Then she had people 5 star this place to make herself sound great when in fact she moved her family members in first before going through the list of people who were next for an apartment. She gave her son a THREE bedroom in building F104! She moved some old man in Building D102 that she knows personally because I live across building and she’s always at his apt along with him entering her apt whenever he wants. It’s okay for her to break all these rules but if a tenant does it, she writes them up. She wrote another tenant up for “speeding” but I see her and her daughter speed through these apartments everyday which I confronted her about.

I have live in for 15 years it has got a lot better now that a new company bought it .. Mike is alway there to fix something that needs to be fixed.. and is so friendly my kids love him and also my dog.. Shawna is there when u need help fill out papers and she always doing something for the kids.. my kids love her too.. and the apartment looks great inside and out .. there a play ground for the kids to play at..they do a really good job remodeling them so come by and check it out.. it’s a great place to live ..

Horrible company. My wife and I tried to get an apartment with them as we were moving to the area. After submitting an application and paying a $25 fee with a money order (sound sketchy?) they didn't get back to us for weeks. I called them everyday, left voicemails, and emails asking them to get back to me as I needed a place to stay for school. After 4 weeks of hearing nothing, I finally got a hold of someone about our application AFTER calling their CORPORATE office many times. Connie was the one processing our application and was extremely vague of what was going on with our application and took another FOUR WEEKS to finish it. I had to baby her through the entire process to make sure she was sending the right forms to the right people to verify my employment, education, and renta

I have moved out of these units but the time that I was living here was subpar interms of management/ the unit itself Low income housing, they don't really care much about the people that live there and won't come to fix your stuff (even if your carpet is soaked or your showers are dripping through the pipes) . Appliances are extremely outdated, the dishwasher in my unit was rusty and they refused to replace it, other fixes were Jerry rigged but never properly fixed (several units have water heaters that allegedly will/have exploded). Rotating managers (sometimes hostile) who never really care, 4 inspections a year which are super thorough (be prepared to fail a few times), sometimes beyond a typical "is the apartment damaged" inspection. They might ask you to rearrange all our furniture
