Autumn Trails Apartments

In August 2024, I moved into the apartments. Three weeks in, everything was good, so I thought. I got a knock on my door. A lady said her biological dad, whom she had met a few weeks ago, had passed. She said it was ruled a suicide. She put his memorial outside the apartment. I thought, okay, he passed. She then told me to be careful. She said she once stayed there and a mysterious object was in her car. She said people are protective here, so I would be okay, but just make sure I kept my doors locked and stayed on guard. At first I thought these apartments were going to be great cause it was the cheapest place I could find. Well the rent is cheap for a reason, the a/c in my apartment barely worked. In the summer the place felt like I was in hell. For a while I was harassed by my next door neighbor when I told the office and provided the evidence I had they informed me that the neighbor had just moved and I couldn't break my lease because they don't guarantee the safety of their renters. Then when I had someone apply for them to be added to my lease they never added them they just put them on my renters insurance. She got behind on rent and now it's all on me now facing eviction. They don't respond to your emails or messages in a timely manner and don't core about the people who rent from them. I ended up i

1 month ago I was applying for a bedroom at Autumn Trails Apartments, the one who was there before the new Manager (Mellanie) called me and told me the rent was approved. Since then, no follow up. I spent 5 days to complete the process, Mellanie couldn't conclude anything. She told me a new site is in progress and that I should re-apply for the rent because a new property is being set up. And I say, but I already paid $107 why reapply? She tells me it's no longer Gray Residential which is the property, she will contact Gray to proceed with my refund. And until now anything has been done. Personally, I contacted Gray and no follow-up was done. So, they took my $107, I didn't get the rent and I didn't get my refund. I do not recommend this place. Be careful!!!

I recently located from Charlotte, North Carolina. I was in a hurry to find a place, I found these apartments on the internet. I ended up applying due to the location and mainly because of the rental price. I did like the ranch/garden style apartments as well. I ended up not moving here and 2 months later I get a call from a collection agency asking me to pay my rental application fee!! I asked the collection agency representative how in God's name do you get an application/ credit check done without paying the fee? That's like going to McDonald's getting the food eating it and then going back up to the counter to pay. That doesn't make any sense! So I pulled my bank statement sent in the receipt of the transaction of me paying for the rental application and I haven't heard anything back
