Artisan Ames

I have lived at the Gateway Hills Apartments by Artisan Ames for the last 5 years. I find the 1400 building very quiet. Location to the university and West Ames is very convenient. The maintenance team is friendly and takes care of requests and repairs in a timely fashion - very easy to work with. The office staff has been very helpful and friendly and it is a pleasure to visit them or call them on the phone. I would highly recommend Artisan Ames and Gateway Hills as a good bargain in the Ames apartment market. Are they perfect with no room for improvement? No, but from comparing them to other apartment buildings and management firms, they are above the rest.

I’ve lived here at South Meadow (or Artisan Ames) since July 2022. By the time I graduate, I’ll have been here 4 years in total. The big pro of this apartment complex you’ll find is the location. It’s located right off of Duff Ave, which has by far the greatest abundance of retail shopping centers and businesses in Ames. You’re a short walk away from Aldi, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and literally dozens of restaurants to try including Historic Downtown. It makes it very convenient whenever I need something. Another plus is that the staff here are SUPER friendly and responsive for the most part. The folks in the leasing office are always happy to answer questions. If you ever have a broken faucet or light fixture or whatever, maintenance is usually able to come over to your unit to help t

My experience living in the apartments has been incredible, the apartments are in very good condition and clean, the cokes they serve are very helpful and help you in everything. The manager Teresa is a very good person, she always solves any concerns we have. Of the 2 years living in their apartments I can mark them as something incredible for the tranquility and comfort it offers

I have been living here since August this year and honestly, it’s wonderful. And any problems I have had they immediately fixed it within the week. Everyone is nice here and it’s especially comforting to know that they are friendly! We’re surrounded by a nice park for Kids to play as well as a nice walking area for pets and animals. With everything that we need for store wise being about 5 to 10 minutes away it is a lovely part of Ames!

I've been here for three years and I've had a great experience. Safe, clean, and a great value if you take full advantage of offerings. The location is amazing as shopping couldn't be closer. There is a paved trail very close by for walks. Staff are quick to address any issues that may come up. Teresa is super helpful and kind.
