Arlington Gardens Apartments

Used to be incredible and affordable for Greater Boston. New management raised the rents high and does disruptive maintenence without notice, such as removing porch lights (three weeks and still no replacement), and constant loud lawn care early in the morning. The lawn thing may be good if you're into that kind of thing, but I really couldn't care less if the grass is longer than a half-inch. It makes the dirt show more too. It used to be a nice, affordable, and quiet place for people of all backgrounds. An awesome place that brought more diversity into Arlington. Soon it'll just be the wealthy as old rent agreements end.

Maintenance poor. Manager very cunning towards tenants. Increased rent each year for minimal amount of work done on property (in fact the manager get paid commissions through the amount of rent he receives and the less maintenance the more he gets paid). Cheap cabinets and floor that wears fast so your security deposit will not be refunded in full with interest. Heat is not guaranteed working during the coldest months. Thin walls and floors you can hear people left and right up and down.

We lived there for more than 5 years and we just moved because we had to leave the state. the maintenance and manager are very nice and caring. the price is very affordable though other apartments in Arlington are so expensive. we loved our neighbors and it is a very kid friendly place.

I love this place. I love the management and the maintenance crew. They have always been upfront and honest with expectations, but also very fair with their treatment of tenants. Also very on top of anything that requires maintenance. This place is a rare gem in the Boston area.

Think Twice Before You Live Here. Rent increases are very high each year. Manager will also punish you for the amount of maintenance work done at your place though it’s his fault. Heating is very irregular in winter. Inferior quality tiles and counter tops. Don’t live here!
