Parents have been working with them for years. My brother and I are taking the rentals over and they have been taking advantage of my folks. Not doing walk throughs have cost us a ton. Just rent collection is all they are good for. Joke

Rented a place for my son for $850 a month that had recently been vacated. The fellow that gave me the tour promised that it would be cleaned up and ready to go for my son's arrival today. When my son arrived, he found the back door wide open and the place filthy. As if squatters had broken in and trashed the place. He certainly doesn't feel safe there, either health-wise or possession-wise. What kind of an outfit services their properties and tenants this way? It's absolutely ridiculous. I will edit this review if the company springs into action to remedy the situation.

Absolutely the worst. I have lived in my apartment since 2021. Every time it rains my swap cooler leaks. With how small my apartment is (725 Sq ft) my options were put my couch under it as it's in the ceiling, or put my TV over there. We'll moved in and out the TV there, every single time it rains I call and then someone gets sent out who says it's fine and not leaking. Then they come back when I call again and do a mini fix and say it'll hold. Well, it rained over night and the last several days, we woke up to a broken TV, and have quickly moved our electronics. I shouldn't have to report this multiple times a year, it should be one and done.

I DO NOT recommend trying to rent from Area Best. We have tried for over 3 weeks, looked at 4 different homes and be told we could absolutely get into something before the end of August just to continually be lied to and have other family chosen. They show zero sympathy when you express your urgency and show up with money in hand. I will not recommend others to rent here either. If you qualify and pass all the checks you should be able to get into a home and not get thus run around joke for almost an entire month. Rather ridiculous.
