Allegro at Jack London Square Apartments

unfortunately, I genuinely do not recommend living here. for the price that we pay, it is not worth it... the leasing office staff is not helpful to tenants, and the carpets and floors are consistently soaked with dog pee🤢 we are ready to be out of here. the leasing office made a mistake and overcharged us, and in the process of trying to meet with them and call to talk about it, we were ignored until it became too late and then we were charged a late fee on top of that 😭 we are both teachers and don't have all the money in the world unfortunately. I would recommend fourth street apartments!

I have lived in Building B at Allegro Apartments in Jack London Square for 4 years. While the location is excellent, there is an ongoing and unresolved infrastructure issue prospective tenants should be aware of. The elevator in Building B experiences frequent outages often every few days. Although repairs are repeatedly attempted, the elevator typically returns to service for only a short period before failing again. This has been a recurring pattern rather than an isolated incident. For a six-story residential building, this creates a significant burden for residents, particularly those living on upper floors. I would like to reiterate, in contrary to the leasing office's claim on my last post that they changed the upcharge on February 1st, they did not, this is why we were not able to pay on time, because we did not to pay the upcharged amount (shouldn't have to). also in contrary to what they said about cleaning the carpets monthly and spot cleaning in between those cleanings, this is absolutely not true. if this was true, our hallway outside would not look like this and we would not be embarrassed to have guests over. I will attach a picture to another review of our carpets in the hallway cause I will not be gaslit by the leasing office, I have time today.

I've lived here for 5 years. I've gotten a car totaled on the street, a car broken into in the parking garage and a car stolen from the parking garage after their "upgrades" The elevator brakes down monthly and had reached a point of almost weekly. It is the slowest elevator I have ever been in and I used to deliver in San Francisco with elevators that are over 50 years old. This last year has really gone down, with the level residents allowed in that party, smoke and cause a few police calls. The service for Xfinity and T-Mobile are very spotty here. I will say the price point per square footage is the best thing about this place.

I am sad to write this review, but after living at Allegro at Jack London Square for 3+ years, I have to warn anyone who is thinking of moving into this building to reconsider. The good parts are the maintenance team who are very prompt and kind, and the location and general price point of the units which feel reasonable for the amount of space you get. However, the rude, incompetent and uncaring management team at this location wipe out any positive aspects of living here. They never answer their phone or respond to emails and are rarely available at the office during regular business hours (I have gone in person as a last resort to reach anyone multiple times only to see a sign on the door saying come back later).
