5th Ward Residences

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Yes it’s lovely apartments but they nickle and dime everyone. I moved out last March with a subleaser taking over my lease. I was going to get my full security deposit until “my subleaser didn’t hand in paperwork on time causing me to owe for a couple weeks of rent” they kept my whole $1,000 security deposit to cover it. They did not tell me I owed anymore. Today I received an email from a debt collector for $224.60 that I still apparently owed on that remainder of that rent. Which does not make sense and also I had it set to autopay. Not only that but my friend lives there and they made her pay for the replacement of an outlet. Not cool 5th ward, do better. I am not impressed, the only letter I recieved after move out was that I wasn’t getting my security

New building, but horrible management. Let's just say there's been 3 management teams and the last one wants you to clean the outside of your widows, even on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th floor. If you don't its 50.00 and hour for them to clean it. The best part (worst) is that they will send your security deposit 21 days later, IF the manager can get around to doing it. If your a college student or helping your college kid out stay away. It maybe easy to get in, but it will cost you to get out.

The Fifth Ward is a great place to live, and is run beautifully by property manager Danny Langehr, who has been a huge help to me since choosing where to live and moving in. The facilities are very nice — basically new, with well designed living spaces, great community places, and an excellent location in North La Crosse. Danny, was a tremendous help to me in choosing the right unit, facilitating my move-in, and has been very responsive anytime I’ve had any issues or questions. I’d highly recommend The Fifth Ward to anyone looking for a nice place to live in La Crosse.

Danny the property manager was great to work with. Lived here for two years and never had any issues. The price was in unbeatable for a 2 bed and 2 bath! I had to relocate for my job in the middle of my lease and 5th Ward made the process very easy. If I’m ever back in La Crosse I will be renting here if there is even anything available!

There is nothing rational about charging 1k for a studio...nor 50$ for parking on a dirt patch.
