1000 Grand by Windsor Apartments

We do not recommend this property. After reviewing the lease agreement, we decided not to move forward. The terms of the contract did not work for us, which is our legal right before signing. We paid a holding deposit (500$!!!!!) and requested its return after deciding not to proceed. It has now been over 10 days, and the deposit has still not been returned. Multiple follow-ups have not been properly addressed. Transparency and professionalism are extremely important when handling people’s money. Unfortunately, this has not been our experience. Future renters should make sure to carefully review all terms and clarify deposit policies in writing before transferring any funds.

Honestly, please be very careful with this company. They strongly pressure people to leave positive reviews about the “tour”, which is why you see so many good reviews about tours. But if you look closely, the reviews from actual tenants are very concerning. I realized this myself when I carefully read their lease agreement. The contract is extremely one-sided. It basically allows them to charge fees and penalties whenever they want, leaving tenants with very little protection. Another serious issue is the holding deposit. They require a very high deposit and then deny the application while refusing to return the money. Please read everything very carefully before dealing with them or paying any deposit.

Handling deposits requires transparency and professionalism. Based on our experience, I would advise prospective renters to carefully review all documents and clarify refund policies in advance.

This review is for Cruz Who does Maintenance at this property…. He is such a heart of gold!! I’ve had several encounters with him, and he always looks so kind he initiates any hello… This particular review it’s for the Maintenance request I had He really helped me out with something in my apartment that was probably not even a part of his job description and I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful. Cruz deserves the biggest raise and he’s definitely a good addition to the community because I posted a review before about my initial move-in, which wasn’t so great.. so that’s definitely helps turn things around.

Be careful with this company. They require a very high holding deposit and then appear to deny the rental application intentionally. After that, they refuse to return the holding deposit. It looks like a pattern where applicants are asked to pay a large deposit and are later denied the apartment so the company can keep the money. Please be very careful before paying any holding deposit to them.
