10 West Apartments

I used to live at 10 West Apartments in Long Beach, and I honestly regret my time there after the management switch. The building itself is decent, but the change in staff was a deal-breaker for me. From July to December, the concierge team was amazing – they were friendly, approachable, and genuinely cared about the residents. Angelica, Gregory, Chance, and Mike were all top-notch and made living there feel like home. They were personable, helpful, and just a joy to interact with. However, after the new management took over, everything went downhill. The new concierge staff is stuck-up, unfriendly, and has completely changed the atmosphere of the building. lived in this building for quite a while, and honestly, it was a nightmare. The place had constant leaks in the apartment—ceiling leaks, plumbing issues, and water damage. No matter how many times I reached out to management, nothing ever got fixed. It was incredibly frustrating to deal with these ongoing problems that they just ignored. The condition of the building was deteriorating, and no one seemed to care. To make matters worse, the new concierge team under Valet King is absolutely terrible. They are unprofessional, rude, and have no clue what they’re doing. It’s like they don’t even care about their residents or the issues they’re dealing with. I have lived at 10 West for the past nine years and truly love living in the building. With that being said, since Kevin has become building manager and Janet has been a key figure within the community office, as well as Junior has become head of maintenance, I am extremely pleased with the atmosphere, service and dedication to the residents. Other members of the staff, including Andy and Karen have always been main reasons as to why I am so happy living in this community. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful the staff is and how Kevin, Janet, Junior, Andy, Karen and Chance continue to shine and their dedication is admirable and truly appreciated.

My husband and I moved into the Avalon one month ago, and our experience has been wonderful. Toni Weathers made the move-in and transition so smooth! Karen Madden and the entire concierge team are always so welcoming and helpful--Karen took the time to introduce us to many of the residents in the building. She is never too busy to answer any of our questions and is so helpful with neighborhood information. We can't say enough good things about the maintenance staff. From move-in day through the past month, Kevin, Andy, and Jose have addressed all of our service issues in a pleasant and professional manner. Everyone living at the Avalon seems to love it, and we can definitely see why thanks to the wonderful staff!

I Visited my Aunt here & I do have to say Kris the Head Concierge was Super Helpful. He’s knowledgeable, Courteous & I do have to say dressed very well for the job. Kris is truly a valuable member of the team and knows the true definition of service. Thank you again :)
