I don't even want to give this place one star. I have only been here for a month and so far my car has gotten shot up and spray painted. I have kids coming to my door everyday asking for money. When my husband tells them no they spit at him. The apartments reek of mold because the two bottom apartments are abandoned and unmaintained. My brothers just got taunted while taking out the trash for being white. The office lady is extremely rude. Anytime you go to complain about the conditions and ask for maintenance she asks if you want to move out. DO NOT MOVE HERE!! There are fights and gun shots constantly. Loud parties and people yelling at 1 in the morning every weekend. I deeply regret moving her and now I'm stuck. Edit to add:there is also trash everywhere. When people move out the mainte

Please don't move here. These pictures are a lie. I've been stuck here. Roaches can't get rid of roaches. I've rented a storage space and moved all my furniture out even pots pans spoons forks...we use plastic and disposable cookware.trash all over my neighbors are nasty baby diapers in hallways. I'm looking for another place to live all rent is over exaggerated. Moved here stuck here .nasty trashy roach infestation..Woods of Decatur do not fix things. Manager is clueless she just got here. under new ownership now "woods of decatur" not "laurel mill" they have nice pictures up but the property is always filthy. maybe they will start making things different taking action. however just so you're aware before you decide to go with this place: children jumping on cars keying and scratching them. the maintenance never fixes anything. no one has working air conditioning. leaky ceilings from bad pipes in nearly every apartment. mold and bed bugs in walls they refuse to do anything about. the whole community is trash everyone wants to move out as soon as they move in. it's ridiculous. we already pay too much and are forced to live in extreme heat in the summer, cold in the winter and filth everyday. i try to warn people when i can. if you do move here don't complain if you read this

I am a disabled veteran living in The Woods Of Decatur apartments for two years. I have asked for handicap parking since I moved in during the summer of 2018. As early as this week I have asked management to please fix the parking because I have to park across the street from my home. I am on 90% VA disability and had a total knee replacement and heart attack. I have asked countless times for something to be done. Without numbered parking spaces, the only two spots next to the stairs are constantly taken by any tenant or anyone of their guest. On my most recent complaint, the office manager told me that if I’d like, I can PAY for premium parking. An additional $10 a month for the same spot a handicap parking spot would be located! I feel sorry for the new leasing agent/manager. It looks like he inherited a mess. My husband and I drove around the complex trying to find the leasing office because it didn't have directional signs visible. I asked a resident and she said it was where the two police cars that drove past were going! My husband figured that's good to have a police presence. I disagree. On the way there, we passed a building that I'm not sure was recently in a fire or is being renovated. The rest of the units look worn down and disheveled. We passed on this one.
