Woodlake Downs Apartments

This is my first apartment ever and it was easy to relocate from Mississippi to here. My unit was just like the unit they showed me on tour. It is a bit dated but perfect for a first time home. It’s been a year and everything has been great so far. Maintenance has been very punctual and they fix whatever is wrong very quickly. It’s a very quiet and safe community. Everyone stays to themselves. No drama. The office staff are very kind as well

DO NOT RENT HERE. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT WHEN YOU LEAVE. I lived here for one year, no pets. I left the apartment in immaculate condition, AKA the condition I arrived in. They never did an apartment check with me present before I left, telling me I was good to go. Only when I get my remainder of the deposit $1,000 short do I see they charged me for pet damage to a carpet? And I see from the reviews they do this all the time. They know what they're doing. Stay away from this place.

I lived at this apartment complex for three years, and unfortunately, my overall experience was not great. The apartments are very outdated, with no remodeling or upgrades done during my stay. I had to submit numerous maintenance requests, and at one point, I even had a rat in my apartment. One of the worst incidents was when my sink faucet suddenly burst, causing water to shoot across the unit and damage many of my belongings. Maintenance replaced the sink and painted over the damage, but no real follow-up was done. I never had a major issue with the office staff until it was time for me to move out. Now, they are trying to charge me $2,000 for what is clearly normal wear and tear, something that violates Civil Code 4250. They kept my entire security deposit and are still trying to get

I moved to Woodlake Downs in 2023 and stayed here for two years while in graduate school, and while the location was convenient, the quality of the apartment and overall experience was not the best. Let’s start with the positives! It it located in a nice central location, close to Crabtree Mall, Brier Creek, and the highway, and it’s in a relatively quiet, peaceful area with no major safety issues during my time there. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. The units are extremely outdated and appear to be patched together rather than properly maintained. When I moved in, there were visible gaps under my front door and under the cabinets. I had to seal the gaps myself with caulk. Within my first month, I came home to find that maintenance had ripped out the ceiling in my
