Woodcrest at Berkeley Heights (55+)

Enjoy living at Woodcrest at Berkeley Heights. Grounds are well maintained. The buildings are now 3 years old and the inside hallways and common areas could use some refreshing/ painting. Amenities are all located in Bld 200 which is more convenient for residents of that building. More secured parking would be a plus as on occasion we have found vehicles occupying our assigned spot

If you can tolerate the strong stench of old lady perfume in the elevators and hallways, the constant barking of residents dogs, and walls so thin you can hear your next door neighbor’s farts then this is the place for you. Maintenance staff is awesome and quick to respond to fix issues but overworked due to the poor quality of the building’s construction. Also the ladies in the rental office are extremely nice, helpful, and professional despite having to deal with all the “Karen’s” that hang out in the clubhouse. With all of the upright walkers and mobility scooters you have to work your way around in the parking garage and the frequent sight of home health care aids and ambulances removing deceased residents, this place is basically a poor man’s Lantern Hill.

Community is far from 55. Try 75 and older. Dogs are all nasty ankle biter dogs. If you want a wheelchair, oxygen tank, walker, hired help facility will not recommend this over 55 community.. have only met 2 other people that were young being 60. I was super nieve in choosing community.

We moved in 2 weeks ago after carefully choosing an apartment to downsize and simplify our lives. So far Woodcrest at Berkeley Heights has exceeded our expectations! Our apartment is spacious and comfortable; the buildings and grounds are immaculate; the people we've met are friendly and welcoming; the one time we've used maintenance was an excellent experience. Sp far we're very happy with our choice of a new home.

New building with nice landscaping and common areas. it is well maintained. The leasing office staff (Taylor and Gia)are very helpful and courteous. The maintenance staff regularly keeps the common areas (Hallways, Club house and the Gym) very clean. The super Steven is excellent, he is always available and promptly takes care of residents requests. A couple of issues-The air-conditioning fan is too loud and the microwave is mounted too high.
