Windsor at Hopkinton Apartments

UPDATED review. The big issue that spurred this update: the septic system has been having some sort of ongoing failure for months now. Several times, black water (sewage!) flowed from the garbage/septic field area down the roadways, passing by several apartment blocks. The entire outside of the complex often smells of feces. I frequently have to hold my breath when I'm outside. No emails from the office addressing this. Update on the trash: the trash center is often overflowing with trash bags lining the walkway. Residents dump their furniture, mattresses, bicycles, TVs, aquariums, baby strollers, and more. There is always a pile of these objects by the dumpster. Josh has done a great job at our community here at Windsor. You can clearly see that he is passionate about what he does for the residence. I’ve lived here almost 9 years now and have seen many changes. It’s so nice to have someone who truly cares about making our community a safe and a beautiful. The leasing office has also done a good job with responding back to request,phones and emails and also creating event for the residence in a timely manner.

I moved into Windsor at Hopkinton in 2022 and will be leaving in 2026. Over the course of my tenancy, my experience has been deeply disappointing, and I feel it is important to share this review for anyone considering this community especially families. Maintenance services are adequate at times, but consistency and urgency are major issues. On two separate occasions, the air filter in my apartment was left unchanged. One of these incidents caused the AC unit to trigger an alarm at 3:00 AM, waking both my newborn and I . Despite the urgency, no one arrived for nearly two hours to resolve the issue minding you the alarm was still going off. Updated in Feb 2026: Consider those scenarios before moving in: (1) You live in 2nd floor and there is a garage under you, you hear vibration and noises 10-15 times everyday, from as early as 6:30 A.M. to interrupt your sleep to late night, and management call those things "normal", refuses to do anything. (2) During snowing seasons, the children uses shovel to scratch the ground and make sharp, annoying noises, you can hear those clearly because the sound isolation is not ideal. (3) Children playing basketball in their garage, causing vibration and noises in your room, your temple is hurting, but you can do nothing about it.
