Fantastic nostalgia of the boomer years. Built in 1929. I am a native and came downtown on Saturday to the Fox theater for the live Wallace & Ladmo shows. Cartoons, movie and refreshments. Great fun for us kids and a penny arcade. The Westward Ho was a landmark building downtown. It was one of the first grand hotels that catered to the political elite and several Presidents stayed hear when visiting. It has since been remolded and converted for subsidized and affordable apartments for the elderly and disabled citizens of our community. I remember it as the big hotel with the Valley National bank revolving sign on top. I have lived here for a year now and it is clean and close to all the places that make our lives comfortable and convenient. There is over a million square feet of
Excellent place. All Seniors. Like living with family. Lot of freedom. Love this place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very clean, safe, and well maintained. Love the original tile work detail.
This historical landmark was one of the first buildings in Arizona to have air conditioning. Although I've never been inside it's beautiful to look at from the outside. Alfred hitchcock also filmed a movie her. It's definitely one of downtown Phoenix's main skyline contributors.
I've lived here for 3 years. I just read a review left 9 mo ago, based on knowing a friend who lives here. Much of the information is false. That's just gross, and reviewer didn't say where those areas are beyond mentioning the elevators. In 3 years yes, ONE TIME I got on the elevator with smelly people. But that's also happened to me in other buildings, like hospitals and Dr offices. Yes, sometimes new MGMT will rent to several groups of formerly homeless people (I think there's a bonus for that) but they usually don't stay long if they can't adjust to having an apt and following rules. And yes,
