We have stayed at BHI for many years and recently (July 2025) had a bad experience with Wendy Wilmot Properties. Our rental home (The Hermitage) had a poorly equipped kitchen, dirty serving utensils, broken oven, dirty textiles (rugs, cushions, etc.), and two backed up sinks among other problems. It seems that WWP hospitality standards are very low indeed. Very unfair to us.
Beautiful home with the best views on the island. If the owners ever want to sell please let me know!!

Wendy Wilmot Properties is the go to for real estate on Bald Head Island! From real estate listings, to vacation rentals, they are truly on top of everything that BHI has to offer. I have worked with them for the past two years photographing their properties for their real estate listings as well as their rental properties and they truly care about their clients and their properties. Their team of agents know BHI better than anyone on the island and are fast, professional, and hard working. I could not recommend them enough!!
Wendy Wilmot properties saved my family this past vacation! Unfortunately the first house we rented was falsely advertised, filthy, broken railings etc. I called Wendy Wilmot properties and we had two houses to look at immediately and they were able to accommodate us in a beautiful home. We are so thankful and will be using this company every summer from now on. Joan and Anne were absolutely amazing to work with and I look forward to renting from them again!
