Wendover at Meadowood

I'm a fall risk and I had considered moving here until I saw how negligent this apt. community is regarding ice/snow removal. When I reported my concerns, I waited another week to see if any improvements and it's now been over 2 weeks since the ice storm and the only improvement is what the sun has managed to clear. Still very dangerous which convinces me they simply don't care. Renter beware!

Apartments are nice on the outside . Been here 3 months maintenance has been here over 5 times for the same problem! Water is leaking, pipes are bursting , and dumb and dumber the maintenance crew come through for looks bang on something and say they’ll be back ! My concerns with water is mold ! People can develop serious respiratory illnesses and can possibly die from it . Highly dissatisfied with the living situation!

This complex is posing as apartment living while the application and vetting process feels like you’re buying a home! If you plan to have a party over the age of 18 living in your residence it’s best not to disclose that detail- they will force you to add that party to your rental application to which your entire application will be denied if they have less than perfect credit. Meanwhile you as the applicant can have a salary greater than 5x’s the base rental amount and above a 750 credit score and the entire application will be denied. There are comparable properties with higher ratings that worked out better for us.

I ended up living here for over a year and it was truly an awful experience. Me and my family developed constant dry eye problems over that year long period. Problems we had never suffered from earlier before coming here. Also the people that own this place send out emails to residents. Letting them know they should give good reviews to earn some small prizes. It was when I read that other comment about the mold problem that I realized my apartment was what was causing my family’s dry eye symptoms for the first time. After that we moved out and our symptoms went away immediately. You can definitely move here if you want. But the staff can’t do anything helpful to save their lives. And you might deal with a no air conditioning mold problem the same way my family did.

It’s a prime location to live cause it’s close to restaurants, shopping centers, airport, interstates and my job. The staff is courteous and friendly. We have an awesome maintenance team if l put in a request in a timely manner it’s fixed the same day!!! I live in a one bedroom unit it’s very spacious. I have a pantry in my kitchen, a linen closet in my bathroom, spacious laundry room and a spacious walk-in closet. My prayer is that l can stay here until l purchase a home.
