Customer Reviews
Management is nice, no issues with anyone who operates in the building. They are good with maintenance requests. It is also located in a great area, plenty of places that are in walking distance from the property including a Whole Foods for groceries.
I have lived at the Wayland Manor for almost 20 years. Even as I type the number 20 it's hard to believe its been that long. The diverse population is so refreshing. Such interesting conversations happen in our lobby. I have found (and still do) living there to be warm, comfortable, secure, and it evens feels like I am 'home' when I walk into the lobby. Having an elevator to all floors (except the first) is so helpful, and the 24 hour desk staff is a blessing. John is a marvelous daytime concierge. He is personable, helpful, and a welcoming face at the end of the day. Terry makes us all feel secure and taken care of on third shift. Maintenance is always available and the property manager Diane is always there to help. I cannot think of a better apartment environment to live in.
Wayland manor is located at the heart of Wayland Square and is just minutes from Thayer Street and Downtown. This is the main reason I lived there for so long. The building is old and run down. The hallways have no windows, are dirty and the wall to wall carpet is peeling in many areas. My bathroom ceiling had completely collapsed (see the picture that is the actual picture of my bathroom). I am glad that I or my kids were not present at the time. I reported the damage and it took over a month for them to start to repair my ceiling, in the mean time I had to look at my upstairs neighbor's toilette pipe. Once they started the repair it took another 3 weeks to fix it. The property ma
The place is clean and very safe. Staff are nice. It is an old building but still very nice. They have fitness gym and laundry area in the building. Very close to shops.
Centrally located in quaint Wayland Square. Apartments are updated as much as an old building can be. Concierge is a nice touch.
