Views On Vine South

It's very expensive even though your apartment vibrates from the bar below on weekends from about 10pm to 2am and you can feel it as you try to sleep. Imagine trying to sleep in a bars bathroom on karaoke night.

Building is not secure and very unsafe, the community room has become a safehaven for thugs and homeless people. They have free access to the building and have even been up to my floor trying to break into apartments. Uptown does not care. The community room is unusable because it has been destroyed by said thugs (see pictures) and Uptown refuses to even acknowledge it. The parking garage is not secure, my car has been broken into at least (5) times since I've lived here. Again, Uptown does not care and refuses to make changes in order to better secure the garage for their tenants. You will never be able to get ahold of your property manager. They refuse to speak to tenants and send you to voicemail. You will then receive a vague copy-and-paste email stating that they are in the process

Do not live here. The fire alarm goes off constantly in the middle of the night and the fire alarm siren they use is louder than a fire truck. Seriously. It has given people ear damage from how loud it is. And it takes UC Fire 20/30 minutes to turn it off. Now, to be fair, lots of UC housing has the late hour alarm problem, but this alarm is so bad it is enough to disqualify you from living here. Trust.

Great location! Maintenance is always friendly, but sometimes does not complete the job. The fire alarm goes off a lot and it’s the loudest thing you’ll ever here. Mail is stolen often and they don’t do anything about it. The door to get in is broken and sometimes doesn’t open. The fire trucks are so insanely loud. Delivery trucks in the morning will wake you up. There’s been a piece of lettuce stuck to the wall with unknown substance for like a year and a half. There’s vomit in the staircase. Walls/ceilings are very thin. Elevator is broken at least once a month for a couple of days. Overall the apartment looks pretty modern, but very cheaply made. If you’re looking for something close to campus, this is good for that. It is also very close to all of the bars.

There’s a Woman and a Ginger Man who live in one of the apartments. Over the past week they’ve been yelling about a “Reace” and it’s starting to really bother me. I get the occasional argument but I can barely sleep at night when I hear them talk about “Raguboy” and Twitter. The apartments are nice it’s just really getting to me…
