Vela at Tempe Town Lake

Brooke was amazing. She was very welcoming, professional, and friendly from the moment the tour started. She showed me the entire property thoroughly, explained the amenities clearly, and made the experience enjoyable and informative. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure potential residents feel comfortable and informed. A great leasing experience overall.

It has been a pleasure to live here and overall everything was great. Erin and the management team have been super pleasant to deal with and I honestly had nothing really that was bad that happened while living here. They always worked to help resolve any issues that I had in a quick manner. The location is excellent especially for the price and overall way more quiet than I was expecting. Great views on the water are steps away, close to Mill Ave/ASU and everything you really need within five or ten minutes driving distance. Also free boat and bike rentals for the lake are a huge plus for residents. Being that it is a 21+ apartment is also very nice because you aren't as likely to encounter loud parties that you would get compared to other places being around ASU. One of the big things

Very nice location. Not happy with rent but it's the best in the area for what you get. No pests or homeless people. Clean grounds. Most people pick up after their dogs. You can feel safe going for a jog at night or early in the AM and everything you need and want is nearby! My wife and I are happy here.

I have a lot of nice things to say about the community and some of the management team. I've been here for 2 years now and have experienced 5 different units but I feellike things are progressively getting worse. Be mindful of the location near parking garages, lots of sounds and alarms through the shallow walls. The walls are thin so you can hear just about everything. I've taken the time to thoughtfully write this review if you're considering Vela. I transfered 8-14-24 to a unit with a dryer that doesn't work. I've had over 5 visits from maintenance and they replaced it today with a faulty dryer that doesn't dry my clothes. My electric bill is over $250. Me and my boyfriend and 2 dogs just moved out after living at Vela for almost 4 years. Prior management was less than impressive but a couple months into our first lease there was a change in management and Lindsay immediately cleaned up shop and turned the place into somewhere we were proud to live. She practices genuine hospitality and care for her residents and instills such into all of the staff. Through Covid and the hardships it caused for two bartenders- Lindsay and Eli were graceful and caring. Doug, Howie, and Mark in maintenance became like neighbors we could count on to have our backs. Any issue with our unit was handled with care and urgency. Our dogs loved dragging us up to the office to grab a treat get loved on. We loved seeing staff members at community events and just work
