Despite the negative reviews, I actually came here to ask a question regarding a letter I received from the apartment I live in that this company owns, I spoke to Catherine, who was very polite and explained the situation, she then gave me a business card of the head manager Lilian, to discuss the issue, after I emailed Lilian, her assistant Ellen responded instead in which they were able to resolve the matter, I appreciate everyone taking the time in helping me, thank you again...

A shady company. As others have noted, expect unreasonable deductions from your security deposit upon move-out from one of their properties. I left my apartment with nothing but normal wear and tear, yet nearly $1000 was withheld from my security deposit of $2333 for claimed damages. The company has been non-responsive after I tried to dispute the charges--no return calls or emails--despite being told an investigation would be done. BS.

Stay away. In addition to our security deposit, we paid a $1000 non-refundable pet fee in addition to a monthly fee per pet. When we moved out, they said they needed to replace our carpet. (We had normal wear and tear, but.. okay, fine, we didn't want to argue this.) The problem was they would not apply the money from our $1000 pet fee, so after they used our security deposit up, we owed them money. When I asked why they couldn't take the remaining money from the $1000 we ALREADY paid them, they said that fee was just "for the privilege of owning pets" and couldn't be touched. I would love to know what our $1000 was actually used for by Value Realty.
