We built with ValueBuild, and our experience was defined by poor project management, repeated execution errors, and a persistent lack of accountability. What should have been a straightforward build instead required constant homeowner intervention and resulted in significant financial and long-term property impact. The pre-construction and design phase set the tone for the entire project. The design appointment was not a true design process but a sales meeting with minimal builder involvement. There was no comprehensive list of standard or optional features, little guidance, and long periods where the assigned representative was not present. We were required to propose ideas ourselves and ask whether they were possible and at what cost, rather than being guided through available options.

My experience with Value Build Homes was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and critical steps—such as blueprint approval—were mishandled. We were charged for changes to plans we were never allowed to approve. Throughout construction, subcontractors often worked unsupervised, and multiple items were built incorrectly or omitted entirely, including missing windows, incorrect countertops, poorly placed electrical switches, and grading issues that caused severe drainage problems. Warranty service has been equally frustrating. Major issues like buckling floors, settling cracks, and ongoing erosion remain unresolved. Building a house felt both exciting and overwhelming at first, but Value Build made the whole process much smoother than I expected. I had a ton of questions and they were always patient, clear, and quick to respond. Communication stayed consistent throughout the build, which really helped ease my stress. The house turned out exactly how I hoped and I truly love my new home!
