Uptown Apartments

New ownership has been excellent. They hired a new maintenance tech who has been great. I really like the new leasing manager as well! The apartments are really well priced and my lease is all bills paid so I know exactly what I pay each month. I would definitely recommend this place. I uploaded some photos from the day I moved in. Very nice.

I lived here August ‘23 to August ‘24. Since it’s been over a year, the apartments are under new management but I can still speak on the unit itself! As a 21 year old college female, I felt oddly safe in such a rough area. The apartments are right in front of Pearl street. Apart from one tenants mental health incident in the common area that was taken care of by the fire department, I was never bothered, and honestly felt like I was taken care of by the older residents. I rarely even heard talking in the hallways, and I pulled many all nighters during my final year at SFA! Parking was always really convenient as well. Absolutely the worst place to live in. They do have roaches. The vents are dirty and they said they would clean them they never did. They said they would change the codes to the doors they never did. So many people have the code to the door.They constantly have drugs addicts and homeless people hanging around here. The people who live here some are drug dealers or do drugs. Not all of them but a good amount. They have homeless people sleeping under the stairs sometimes. Its just awful. The hallways stink all the time. Especially the second floor in the north building closest to sonic. Every time you walk by it smells like feces or a landfill. They tried to cover it up by putting scent plugs in the hallway. It did not work. The only good thing was the pool but not worth everything else. Bar

I currently live the the uptown apartments and the main thing I have to say is if you can, do not choose to live here. The ladies in the office are great but the higher ups are not. I have lived here since April on 2024 and I will say it is the biggest regret I have to have chosen to live here. They trick you by having low rent and at first glance the apartments look nice they are kind of small but for a first time apartment its not too bad. But once you move in you realize its horrible. They only have 4 washer and dryers in their "washing facility If you can even call it that for 2 buildings that are both 4 floors each. So not even nearly enough washer and dryers. Tori is the best! I thoroughly enjoyed my time here at uptown apartments while juggling grad school. They respond quickly to work orders, the new owners are very polite and friendly. They are flexible in lease terms too! I would highly recommend!
