I rented an office from Udolf Properties and I truly can't say enough about how lovely an experience it was. From the first phone call with Mr Udolf to see the space, to the last call to discuss turning in the keys, Robert Udolf was warm, kind, personable, and willing to show up for me as a tenant. I have personally moved over 25 times in my life and I have never encountered a landlord like him. He is genuine and caring, and I highly, highly recommend working with him in any capacity. Thanks Robert, you made my time in West Hartford richer. Very grateful.

⭐ If zero stars were possible, I would give it. My experience with Robert and his staff—especially Dylan Reid—was extremely unprofessional and misleading. I signed a lease with a move-in date of November 1, 2024, but within 24 hours I received an unexpected job relocation and immediately notified management. I was initially told they would work with me to cancel the lease, but after giving reassurance, no action was taken for weeks. To resolve the situation in good faith, I personally found a replacement tenant and even agreed to pay the first month’s rent for an apartment I never lived in. I lived in an Avon apartment complex owned and managed by Udolf for about 2 and a half years and have nothing but great things to say about them. They maintained the property very well and everyone on the staff was always super kind and helpful. Our maintenance person, Patrick, was also always helpful and on top of fixing anything that might’ve popped up. I had to move out of state for work but if I’m ever in CT again, I would definitely rent from them again!

I just renewed my lease at the Udolf Apts in WH, and want to extend my gratitude. It is a really nice place to live. My neighbors are kind, the grounds are well-maintained and safe, and the maintenance crew is reliable and warm. The property manager I work with, Dani, has treated me like a friend since day one. The owner is a good person. I’ve lived a lot of places. This one is among my favorites.

These apartments are “lipstick on a pig.” Surface-level updates mask serious maintenance issues: holes in walls, sealed foundation cracks, signs of prior leaks covered with paint, poor insulation, old appliances, and high electric bills due to electric heat. Doors lack proper weather stripping, some stick when opened, and the front entry has no screen door. Noise carries easily between units, and dog park areas create ongoing disturbances. Despite the lease stating that management handles snow removal, snow is not cleared behind the garages, making access to paid parking unsafe. Reply to owner's response: I appreciate the response.
