Tuscany at Aloma

Honestly, where I live now is super expensive and I was considering moving. I used to live here at Tuscany at Aloma a couple years ago. I decided to look at the reviews to see if things have changed. But it seems like they still being trash. I lived at Tucany for a couple years with my wife and kids. I made several complaints about mold and roaches everywhere. They would take forever or just paint over the mold. I have kids with special needs my autistic son had a horrible allergic reaction to mold. We were moved to another unit and that one had mold as well . My son is allergic to roaches he can’t even smell them. Roach motel, completely infested. AC need replacing, one of the maintenance men quit because he said he couldn’t work for a place that won’t fix the tenants AC, he told them several times to replace it and for months my children and I lived in a boiling apartment. All they did was add Freon it runs out in two days. Leak in kitchen/bath/AC & mold, they say they changed management but the same people in the office who are rude. But the office AC is working always! How about me and my kids come to the office everyday till they fix the AC. Ugly carpet looks like vomit. Shower floors without drain covers, patio doors don’t fully close! Major electrical issues, people have had small fires in their apartments! You deserve better find another place!

This is managed by slum lords. They refuse to fix the AC and it is costing us $600 a month to run it for the past year!! It doesn't cool a 3 bedroom all the way to what the thermostat is set at. The electric range will go from set at med to full blast without warning. The apartments have been infested with cockraoches. Now, they just stopped having pest control for the complex 2 months ago. Complaints go unanswered, the front office is seldom staffed. Even complaining to their housing authority does nothing. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE.

I have two friends who are seniors that live at this apartment. Don't live here. They never finish maintenance requests that have been pending for over 2 years to months. These residents are afraid of retaliation and won't go to the HUD authorities or seek a lawyer. They cannot afford to move out if they up the rent because they complain. Guess what is in their rent price... utilities. Showers or tubs they can't use. Without air conditioning for over 24 hours at 95 hot weather. Not being able to turn off lights. Not being able to turn off ac. The next thing to do is complain to the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Unfortunately they have the wrong street number on that page. Search better business bureau tuscany at aloma and it will come up. Let's all take a stand!
