So i was a referral from another one of his previous client's my brother. I live in CA, and had a great loan set up with my previous lender (Rocket) who wouldn't extend my lock... was at 2.25% in mid November. I am self employed, with several income sources, and my wife just finished upgrading her RN to BSN education last year, so our employment history was not representative of our potential and historical income. I was deeply angered at my previous lender for their unwillingness to extend my lock at that incredible rate, and remained skeptical about lenders for my refinance which was only 550k out of a 950+K home and was watching rates move up which i expected.
