While we initially went to Title 1st due to their proximity to our location we never actually had to travel to meet them at their offices until closing day. The entire process up to closing day was done electronically and governed by professionalism and timely communication throughout. We had a complicated acquisition with a difficult and reluctant seller who was trying to back out of the contract to chase a higher price. Title 1st attorney Paul Revelson exhibited remarkable patience and legal dexterity in shepherding the transaction to completion . He and his Title Processor Sara Blakely stayed on top of the everchanging conditions and kept us completely and promptly informed of complexities. This was the title company for the sale of my house last January. They never answered their phone, and were none too responsive to emails during preparations for closing. When the time came, they made an accounting error (which I would have caught had I been present - knew that a POA was a bad idea), and compounded that error by doing a second wire transfer of a less-than-$2K sum for which my bank charged a fee. When I asked that Title 1st reimburse me for that fee resulting from their mistake, they said they would (via email - no phone answering, remember); then, when the check didn't show up, they said, "Oh, I thought we sent that.".
