My mom came to live with us last year, and she wanted to live in our backyard in a wee house. When we looked around, we were shocked at the prices! A friend told me about Tiny House Texas, so we popped over to their location where we found exactly what my mom had dreamed up --- one bedroom, a small office space, airy and light inside, with a beautiful butcher block counter, farmhouse sink and a range. There was a place for w/d hookups (which we didn't need but it's nice to have!) and a tankless water heater that works great.
