Tilson is the best builder in the DFW area. This is our third home we’ve built since 2012. All three were different builders. We took custom plans to Tilson. They finished them up free of charge. Locked our price in and kept their word. They built the house for the agreed upon price. You get a lot for your money with Tilson. When we were told the cabinet knobs were included I was shocked. Even spray foam. My favorite thing about Tilson was their customer service. I’m very picky and expect things to be done to perfection. Disappointing Experience with Tilson Homes I had high hopes of working with Tilson Homes, but my experience was far from satisfactory. We didn’t even get past the sales portion as our sales consultant, Tynan Winegarden, provided ZERO communication past our initial visit. He was totally unresponsive and failed to communicate effectively. We identified potential land and properties to continue the project but were ignored and discarded, leaving us frustrated and disappointed. I expected better service and support, especially when making such a significant investment. DO NOT BUILD WITH TILSON. FIND A LOCAL CONTRACTOR THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR WORK!!!! I had issues from the begging starting with the home sales representative. Firstly one had helped us decide on a home and we ere waiting to move forward she had quit and we did not receive a notification. During this time the prices of homes were increased and we had to start over with a new representative. Once we had signed a contract to start the build Tilson was constantly rescheduling apts. Then our representative went on leave for 2 months and no one was helping move our build along. After she retured from leave she moved away and we were moved with another 2 people who helped each other and didnt communicate with each other effectively. In total we had 4 and 2 price increases. We met Brandi almost a year ago when we stopped into the Midlothian sales office without an appointment. She spent almost 3 hours with us finding out what we wanted for our retirement home and showing us a house plan we could modify to fit our needs. She was so sweet, patient and had great ideas. We ended up signing with Tilson - partly because of the quality of their homes and partly because of Brandi! We are getting ready to start the foundation and the process of getting to this point has been painless due to Brandi. We just met our builder Chance and look forward to working with him also. Everyone from Tilson we have met have been so nice and professional. This is truly a class act company with a class act product and class act employees.
