Beware... Stay away. Had Tilson build our second home on the property. They were still working on it after 2 1/2 years. Now we get to deal with the warranty department. What a nightmare. They use sub par employees and do sub par work. Now going into Arbitration as that is how their contract is written. The offer a cheaper price, but you definitely get what you pay for. Framing was poor beyond belief. Following direction by their framer was impossible for him. Switched the entire main structure. Finish work looked fine after 2 1/2 years, but then the doors would not close, floors squeak and network does not work. Then when warranty attempts to fix them, poor workmanship again. Doors still not correct, outside door handles had already faded, now carpet torn and still they can't f

Sorry to hear problems reported by other Tilson owners. We built a Tilson Home out by Lake Travis (Hudson Bend) and absolutely love the home—at incredibly favorable pricing (esp. by Austin standards). We had some time lags on minor punch item list, but overall, very happy with the home, and with Tilson.

I would not rate these guys 1/2 a star!!! If you want to know the long list of reasons, just let me know.... We signed all paperwork in Feb 2014 and were told 6 months!!! Here we are mid September and no home. They have now told us we would be done by Oct 15. We asked to lock in a rate... they suggested we do a 60 day lock in!!! BEWARE - they are over working their people. Our super - resigned after the 100th mistake he made on our home... They don't care about the crews they hire or the quality of the work they are producing.
