The Willows Apartments

The current manager, Emily was a pleasure to have around when she managed the property I am at. I was sad to see her go. She stays on top of the problems as they arise and always had a big smile on her face. My son felt comfortable enough he visited the office almost every day when he would take the dog out so they could get a treat and a piece of candy! So sweet of her!

Unless you’re insanely desperate, do not rent from here or any Kabredlos property. I don’t even know where to begin. I unfortunately signed a year and a half lease moving from Colorado so I wasn’t able to actually view the place and neighborhood. I had cockroaches about 14 of the 18 months I rented there. I am super clean and they supposedly did pest control weekly but nothing ever worked. During the 1.5 year lease we had 4 different property managers with different standards for the property. A week before I moved out, it was like -25 degrees out and snowing so I was packing and cleaning and had a couple of bags outside of the unit that were there for no more than 3 hours. I have a decent sized one bedroom apartment for 889 a month (around 947 with my pet fee) and once you get all the down payments and deposits done it's a pretty nice place. The management I've had contact with seem pretty chill and maintenence requests happen quickly and are done to my satisfaction. I have some bugs but I'm on the ground floor so it's about as many bugs as you'd expect living in a basement, but I haven't seen too many since they'd come and sprayed. The way the rent works is pretty nice too since you can pay on an app and store money away in an account so you can split it between two paychecks throughout the month. When we originally moved to the willows, we were coming from a really terrible place and it was cheaper, so we enjoyed it. With time however, changes in management led to slower maintenance, broken dryers/washers, poor groundkeeping, and scummy business practices, such as doing a second walkthrough after we they had already done one with us and charging us for more things that were already present when we moved in, even though we had photo evidence we didn't cause it. There was also a good amount of crime in the area and the police were in the complex often. Moving was a very good, very easy decision for us.

Management is a joke. The place is infested with roaches and they will do anything but maintain the building. I had a leak from the unit above me start two weeks ago. I immediately called after hours maintenance with no response. Two days later the property manager calls saying “was this fixed”. She’s pathetic and has no clue what she’s doing. Nobody has come by to look at the leak yet. Cracks are forming in my ceiling and the walls are changing colors. DO NOT LIVE HERE
