THE WHITNEY MODERN

I have lived at the Whitney Modern for several years and dealt with various property managers throughout my time here. I must say that Holland and his team are among the best that the Whitney Modern has seen. They are attentive and responsive. The building is also quiet and well maintained. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful place to live.

I really love WM and Holland is a fabulous upgrade to our prior leasing manager. (no shade) He is very responsive to emails and is great with overall communication. It’s a great place to live especially if you have pets or generally appreciate the natural, “real life” vibe of East rock as opposed to some of the so called ikea quality “luxury” downtown complexes. (shade intended) I love the close proximity to nearby parks and the Yale blue line shuttle stop is right across the street which makes it super easy to commute for those who need it. We’re also in great proximity to neighboring towns via Whitney or the highway. The only con is the ceiling noise transfer for those who may be sensitive to impact noise since I believe most (all?) units have wood floors.

Currently the management at whitney modern is responsive and competent. After a slow start, see earlier reviews, it has become an excellent place to live. A great dog park has been added to the facility this past year. Whatever concerns we have had about our apartment have addressed promptly and satisfactorily. The place is well kept and safe. We are enjoying living here.

The Whitney Modern is an incredible addition to New Haven. If you're looking for somewhere to live that is luxurious & well cared for, but also homey and boutique, The Whitney Modern is for you. Kristen and the management team are so nice and helpful. The gym, amenities, and safety features are top notch. Neighborhood is great, feels secluded away from the bustle of downtown. Can't say enough great things about the place!

No one at their leasing office picks up their phone during business hours. One tenant was extremely kind enough to give me a quick tour of her unit, and based on what I saw, I decided to take a leap of faith and submitted an application along with a $150 payment. Nobody says a peep, so I had to call them countless times asking for an update. The leasing office finally said they had approved my application and would send the official document to sign, which of course never arrived. A couple days later, they said the unit's no longer available and blamed me for not promptly answering their email, which was sent on a Saturday night. I don't want anyone to waste their time trying to do business with them
