Awful—Sterling Heights (The Wellington property management) has a reputation (all buildings, just look at other reviews) of flooding. Flooded multiple times in one year (rainwater and sewer). It took a week for somebody to arrive and pump out the water. Thousands of dollars of damage because it was sitting in sewage for a week. Now, management refuses to budge on a $2,500 “lease break fee” along with $3,000+ property destroyed.

The Wellington group (Sterling Heights) will try and say you made a stain on their carpet and charge you for it despite having proof you didn’t make the stain. I asked for forms and they were unable to provide them and “lost” my form I filled out when I moved in where you write down all the damages that were already there upon move in. Ginger sends out incorrect emails and even sent me another tennents personal information. Kim is unwilling to help and wants the money despite showing proof of the stain being there upon move in. I reached out to the BBB and told Kim I did so she can correct the issue and respond. She never responded to the BBB. Do not move in to any Wellington Group rentals. Read the other reviews. The reviews are honest. They are not good and honest people to rent from.

Edit: The complex offered to move us into a different apartment building 6 months ago and we have been very happy with our new apartment. The office manager has been fantastic and we have had no issues in the new spot. The main maintenance man is wonderful and we now have no complaints. A big thanks to Sharon!

Nice place to live. They keep up with the lawn maintenance. The people that you talk with from the company are always nice. Very pet friendly. Neighbors are pretty good as well. Be prepared for the rent to jump up every year you resign a lease, that's my biggest issue.

This group of property managers are absolutely awful. I lived at Grandview for a year and it was the worst rental experience of my life. From start to finish is was terrible. Filled with roaches and rats. There was a shooting in the lobby of the building during my time there. Any issues that I had it was like pulling teeth to get anyone from this group to take notice. I couldn’t even move out in peace. They improperly printed my security deposit refund check and then expected me to go through hoops to get a new check. They wanted the old improper check before they would give me a new one, wanted me to come in during office hours which I worked throughout, and would mail me the check only if I mailed them the old check but would not provide return postage even though it was their error.
