The Swift at Petworth Metro

Have lived here for 3 years. Pros: awesome concierge and custodial staff, lots of great neighbors in the building, dog friendly, rooftop is BEAUTIFUL and good for hosting people especially in the spring and fall. Cons: lots of street noise, fire alarms go off in the middle of the night on a regular basis (tied to Safeway’s system somehow?), a few people don’t clean up after their dogs so dog area is usually too gross to use. If you are signing here and have the option, I’d go for a south- or west-facing unit for more light and less noise.

They are selling dreams over here. The maintenance man is nice. I lived here for about 15 months and we’ve had 2 different leasing office turnovers and it doesnt seem as if the new leasing agents are any more proficient than the last ones. It stinks, the amenties are less than desirable. There isn’t even a stairmaster in the gym. The communication is awful and not to mention the leasing office “LOST” my rent payment and wanted me to pay for an investigation. I had the receipt of the day they received the payment and they still had me jump through hoops to prove I submitted the payment. On top of that if I wasn’t paying attention to my account it would have never been brought to my attention. Several ppl were shot in front of the building. The Swift at Petworth gave the best Superbowl watch party ever .The manager Ms. Chanel and her crew really sets the bar at a level that is going to be hard to beat or repeat. It was great 😄😅 thank you. LARRY !

I love the Swift community. the concierge is chef’s kiss, leasing is amazing, and it’s the lounge nest for me! ☕️ The coffee on the M level is such a nice touch too. Shoutout to Victor in concierge (always helpful ) and Ashley in leasing. you two make Swift living top-tier! 💫 #LifeAtTheSwift

Used to be a nice place but has gone downhill significantly in the past year or two. Management does not enforce rules and is non responsive. there have been numerous issues with residents to the point we had armed security guards at entrances and had had to be escorted into the package room to prevent theft. Multiple issues with the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night usually due to Safeway. Would not recommend, there are better places in the neighborhood for the price. UPDATE - I have been up since 2:30AM on the phone for an emergency apartment flooding and have received no updates on when emergency maintenance will allegedly be here. Do NOT rent here.
