The Stitt Group - Energy-efficient homes

Stitt Energy designed and managed the construction of our home in 2005. We have enjoyed the energy savings for 15 years. We have retired and it is time to down size so we have turned to Stitt Energy again. They are designing a new home for us. We wouldn’t use anyone else. They are professional and knowledgeable. Great people to work with.

Stitt Energy performed exceptionally for us in KC, MO regarding energy efficiency and design integrity, proved for 12-years since we moved in. Yes, their costs are high, but you get a lot of value! Shortfalls? Granted, a few. A Must - Find your own local contractor that you absolutely know you can trust, not only in honesty and integrity, but won't leave you with uneven concrete walls, drains that go uphill, etc. But as far as performance as our design engineer, Stitt did a great job for us!

They are great at their core focus. Good overall but great at energy efficient building. Knowing and enforcing the details that matter for functionality. No high quality windows with air gaps around them here! After five years in our house I'm still happy and would pick them again. Yes their billing was hourly and not fixed (sub contracts fixed) and actually did go above expected projection in my case. But the project as a whole came in under budget. Besides I'd much rather pay a fair price for good service than live in a house built by someone losing money while they work.
