The Serenade

I moved into the Serenade a few weeks ago and have been really happy with both the apartment itself and the move-in process. Josh was super helpful and responsive throughout, making everything smooth and stress-free. His assistance helped me feel welcome in the building. So far, I haven’t had any major problems with the apartment, and I’m glad I chose to move in!

I’ve been living at the Serenade for about a year now, and overall, my experience has been mixed. Pros: - I love my apartment! The building is older, but all the units are renovated, so everything feels modern—and the price is great. - I've had some ups and downs with management, but recent changes seem to be turning things around. Josh, in particular, helped get my re-leasing process back on track, though it did take months of me emailing, calling and even showing up at another property. - The neighbors are great—mostly folks in their mid-20s, and everyone’s super friendly. - The location is ideal. Columbia Heights Metro is a 15-minute walk, but the D60 bus is right around the corner. Plus, 18th Street is less than 10 minutes away and has tons of great restaurants and bars. - Maintenance

Have lived in the building for almost 2 years now. Overall the conditions are good, they have started cleaning regularly and the maintenance responds at reasonable rates. Recently I needed an emergency service and Joshua Zweig was extremely helpful and responded promptly solving my issue. The building has gone through different management teams but Joshua's team has been very helpful.

Great experience overall. Joshua was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions.

I had a tour scheduled at Serenade apartments they I confirmed with Juan the day before. The appointment time came and went with no one from UIP showing up at the building. I called the phone number, no response. I also emailed Juan as I was waiting. A few days later, I have yet to receive a response. It does not seem like a sign of a good place to live or a responsive management company!
